I just finished this painting of my wooden snowman, which stands next to my side entry. I killed two birds with one stone as it was painted in honor of World Watercolor Day today and will also be the front of my Christmas card for this year. As you can see, we are Ohio State Buckeye fans. The painting is 5" x 9" and is painted on 140 lb. Canson Tientes cold-pressed watercolor paper. Go Bucks!!!

Great fun and makes a super card. 'Fraid I missed the day on Tuesday - did not know about it then. Good result with the riverwalk plein air work too. Using oils outdoors is very brave.
Great job on this!
He is so cute and so nicely painted!Well done!
Joan...I am glad you like my card. I have done a lot of painting in my day (I'm 72) but until last year never tried to paint plein air in oils - I was a studio oil painter and watercolorist. I found that plein air painting is the most difficult type of painting I have attempted - is a lot of work - but such enjoyable work! There is nothing like it.
Thanks, Rhonda! Hope you have an enjoyable Thanksgiving.
Christiane - Thanks for commenting.I hope he will be okay for our card this year - my mind was a blank when I was trying to think of a subject and then I saw him standing next to my side door and something clicked:)
This one will make a great Christmas card! What fun.
Mary - Thanks a lot! It should appeal to all my friends who are Ohio State Buckeye fans!

Are you still in Columbus? The Buckeyes had a big win yesterday against Michigan, as you probably know.
