Watercolor is my passion. After teaching art in the public schools for 40 + years I now have time to create art for myself. I am a watercolorist who sometimes likes to work in mixed media as well. My journey in art began when I was a small child and continues to this day. Barbara Hart Sailor

Beautiful! Love the texture and the composition. I would drop just a dab of the blue in the orange side and a dab of the orange in the blue side to give it more unity and sign it and call it done :) Love it!
These are some of my FAVORITE palette colors! I like Rhonda's idea of showing a little of each of the colors on the other side. Rhonda has GOOD ideas, doesn't she? And she doesn't charge! Hahahaha. I am going to look up the website you mentioned to hear more about this mysterious new technique.
Oh my gosh...Gwen Bragg is fascinating!!! I watched her video on her website. SO interesting.
Thanks so much for sharing.
Rhonda...I will try that - never thought of doing that! Thanks.
Ginny...Isn't that video amazing? Unfortunately, it didn't work for me because I didn't get those little round areas of texture that she does - I think that perhaps I didn't let the paper relax and I also wet the back as well as the front before I started - I had it too wet, I think!I plan to try again and work this thing out.
Thanks to you and Rhonda for commenting!
Barb...you are just the best at taking a simple subject and making it live and breathe! I will have to go to her website and see what she does, but your technique needs no apology! It is just a great painting.
