I recently completed this painting of my grand daughter Rachel. In it she is pictured sleeping with her loved, worn, floppy stuffed dog, Arf, who has been washed at least a hundred times. This painting is going to be part of our Christmas card this year, with the narrative: "Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. Rachel and Arf were snuggled all tight in her bed, while visions of Barbie's danced in her head." The painting is 1/4 sheet of Arches cold pressed watercolor paper with mostly Holbein watercolors.
Watercolor is my passion. After teaching art in the public schools for 40 + years I now have time to create art for myself. I am a watercolorist who sometimes likes to work in mixed media as well. My journey in art began when I was a small child and continues to this day. Barbara Hart Sailor
