Grandpa's Pride and Joy (finished)

I finished "Grandpa's Pride and Joy" this afternoon.  This will be the painting for the next class at Riverside Art Center on Monday night. Of course, you all know that I love painting vintage trucks and cars, especially when they are a little beat-up, rusty and oxidized.  I also loved the colors in this photograph - the contrasting blues, blue-violets, yellow-greens and oranges.

This painting is 8" x 18" and is painted on 140 lb. Acquarello cold-pressed watercolor paper.  I love this paper - it is so responsive and workable.  This painting is taken from a photograph by my friend Pamela Baker of www.bakercreekdesigns.com.  Thank you, Pamela.

Loved the drawing and the finished painting is beautiful, Barb. You are a master at these vintage vehicles. You've made me want to pull out an old photo of my mom standing in front of a similar style car. I wonder if I have it or she does?
