Winter Silence

This is another painting for the October show with Pamela Baker  - her photos and my paintings of them.  This watercolor is 16" x 22" and is painted on 140 lb. Fabriano Artistico cold-pressed watercolor paper.  I love winter scenes - a lot more than I love winter! :)

I love winter scenes AND winter. This is stunning, Barb. I hate when the snow gets messed up due to feet and/or tires though. Hopefully this scene would stay pristine throughout the winter!

Thanks, Sherry! Yes - this is a very rural area and will stay pristine - except for the cows, of course! lol

Barb, this minimalist style for this one is just perfect to show the cold. Since it will be 110 and humid here today (!!!) I will need to look at this often! Love the atmospheric perspective.

Thanks, Susan! This is SO not my usual style - minimalist I'm usually NOT. The photo shows a single, lonely barn in a snowstorm - this painting has more color than the original photo.
you are welcome to cool off with this anytime...It is pretty hot and humid here today - we've had the air on all week. I think about you a lot and hope that you and Tom are both doing okay.

This is so soft. I'd use this as a Christmas card it is so peaceful.
