This is another scene of the property on Logan Co. 13. It is from a photograph taken by my friend, Pamela Baker, one day last summer when we were on a photo outing. The painting is 9" x 9" and is painted on 140 lb. Canson cold-pressed watercolor paper - the last sheet - thank goodness. I thought I had already used the last one, but alas, found this one in my studio. I used both watercolor pencils and watercolor on this painting.

Beautiful, as always, Barb! I've taken similar photos myself and you've proven that these old broken down barns and outbuildings do indeed make a beautiful painting. I've been kind of afraid to give them a try for some reason!
Oh, Barb, I love the way the orange roof peeks through the trees, and then how the barn peeks from behind all the lovely greens of that tree on the left. Lots of cool stuff going on in this one!!!!!
Sherry - as you probably know I love old barns and trucks and cars and..... I think what I like about the falling down barns are the negative areas which are created by the holes where the boards are missing.
