"Bountiful" - A Postcard

Bountiful is a painting from my imagination...we all know that there are no bunches of grapes this colorful but it sure was fun painting it!!! Maybe it's the pain meds... The painting is postcard size - 4" x 6" and is on 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper. I used the Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils again on this one - I have no room by my recliner for my usual watercolor supplies. I am captive in my recliner or wheel chair, painting is the only thing that is keeping me sane while I wait for back surgery in January.

Ah Barb...my heart goes out to you. I'm glad you have your art to keep you engaged while trapped in that chair. I think this is beautiful and full of whimsy. I take joy in the colors too! Wishing you comfort and joy this Christmas.

It's so cheerful and enchanting! I love that you used no reference photo, just painted it the way you were thinking it. I'm so sorry you're in pain, especially at this time of year. I hope the surgery happens soon, and goes well!

This is beautiful, Barb. You may be confined to your recliner or wheel chair right now, but your imagination and your art can certainly take you anywhere you want to go!
Take good care of yourself.
