Three Interpretations of the Redbud Tree

AutumnLeaves requested to see all three versions of the redbud tree...Your wish is my command - these are the three versions of the redbud tree - as you can see - Patty's - the middle one- is not yet completed but you can see how each of us interpreted it with our different painting styles.  Michelle painted the top version.

All three are quite different, with their unique style. It's great to see how different artists interpret the same subject.

Wow, Barbara! I honestly didn't expect to love them all after seeing your own. Quite an exercise in seeing and recognizing the differences in artistic styles. Each of these is gorgeous and I'd be hard pressed to choose a favorite. I would love to see the second one when finished too. Right now it looks like a photograph in which one is focused on the flowers and the rest is blurred out. A rather unique effect as it stands! All three of these are just beautiful!

These trees are SO springy. I can just smell the fresh smell of them!!! Here in FL we sort of by passed spring and sent directly to summer!!! But the lovely new greens of the live oaks are glistening sap green now instead of that winter dark green (Daniel Smith Under Sea Green). There is a roadside purple flower....almost a ground cover here in the south each April. I need to find out what it is...a combination of cobalt violet and mineral violet. Lovely. Good be a weed but they are wonderful.. Thanks for sharing your spring. Barb...are you coming north to WI this summer?

Just noticed how different my scans are on the redbud tree photos - one was outside and taken with a cell phone and the other was taken indoors in my studio with my digital camera. What a difference.

Ginny - don't you just love the spring colors - especially the greens! I look forward to this all year - my favorite season.
Yes - we will be coming north this summer, but am not sure when for certain - one thing I know for sure - we must get together!
