A good friend who lives in Brazil, sent me a picture and suggested that we both paint our versions. So...this is my version...I flipped it and used a different girl with umbrella and unfortunately my perspective is all off, but I guess it does get the idea across that it is a very rainy day. This picture is small - about 7" X 10" - this is small for me as I usually work larger. It is painted on 140 lb. Arches cold pressed watercolor paper. The special effect of rain was created by using the edge of a wet Mr. Clean eraser, which I cut into small flat pieces for easier handling.

Being perspectively challenged, I don't see the perspective as being that far off - my enjoyment is in the mood: the girl in the blowing rain but still in a cheery color (and I see that color repeated in the awning of the building - a nice touch).
Barb, this is wonderfully painted! Like Rhonda, I don't see any problematic perspective, but as usual what do I know! What I do see is the wonderful figure you have painted and love the grayness of the building compared to the girl's colorful coat.
What did we ever do without Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. I think an acronym is in order here....MCME's.
