This is
another painting, just completed, for the show in October that I am
sharing with Pamela Baker...I am doing my interpretations of her
photographs. This painting is 6" x 12" and is painted on 140 lb.
hot-pressed watercolor paper. I am also posting a picture of her
photo...as you can see, to make a painting out of the photo, I
eliminated some of the gates and farm equipment and I also changed the
orientation to more horizontal format. Did I tell you that I am so
happy to have a good friend who is also a first class photographer and
is willing to share her work with me? Thanks, Pam! I love these inquisitive cows!!!

Just beautiful, Barb!
Hi Barb...
Finding a few moments (between WI storms up here in the north woods) to check the blogs I follow. I love all your trucks of course and got a kick out of the cows after reading Deb Ward's cow/calf story on her blog!
I am working on an interesting "twist" with my Zentangles at the moment...prepping for a couple of shows and getting ready for a class with Brenda Swenson that starts on Monday!
Hope you are doing okay health wise...you sounds busy and active and so I am thinking good thoughts about that!!!
I note you are working on hot press right now. I think that is totally fun to switch to now and again! It sort of "leans" toward the Yupo experience. I am showing two Yupos in the mid summer show if I can get them framed!
Thanks, Sherri.
Ginny,
I have been hearing about the storms in the northwoods - I hope that you stay safe.
I am anxious to hear how the workshop with Brenda Swenson goes - I am green with envy again.
I am doing pretty well - just can't walk any distance or stand any longer than 3 minutes at a time. My husband had a clear throat scan 2 weeks ago - I am so grateful. He still can't talk well - but that may be permanent.
