Watercolor is my passion. After teaching art in the public schools for 40 + years I now have time to create art for myself. I am a watercolorist who sometimes likes to work in mixed media as well. My journey in art began when I was a small child and continues to this day. Barbara Hart Sailor

Painting #24: Geisha Casting Shadows
I went to my friend Michelle Walker's studio Tuesday evening where we set up a still life to paint. Michelle painted this in oil and I did it in watercolor...2 very different paintings. My watercolor is 11" x 14" and is painted on 140 lb. Arches cold-pressed watercolor paper.

Absolutely gorgeous greens, Barb! Your work is always so beautiful.
Stunning! I love the colors and the way you handled the shadows and light.
Hi Sherry and Mary...thanks for the wonderful comments ...Sherry - I wasn't so sure about mixing the warm and cool greens, but it did seem to work out. Mary - the cast shadows were difficult on this - thanks for noticing them.
