Birthday Celebrations

I was blessed with two birthday cakes this year; the first was a delicious mandarin orange cake which I posted on my Facebook page, and the second was this delicious harlequin/checkerboard chocolate and yellow cake baked by my dear friend Rose for our Muses Thursday afternoon arts gathering.  It was truly delicious and we had a lot of fun finding out how Rose did this.  Turning 77 hasn't been as traumatic as I thought it would be.

Happy Birthday, Luv.
OOOOOO…I felt those calories all the way in WI! YIKES.
But 77 comes once in a life time.
I'll be 76 in November and having a little "angst" over it myself.
Tonight is a full moon and eclipse. Won't happen again in 18 years.
I'll be 93. Think I better go out and have a look tonight! :-)
Have a great 77th year.

Happy Birthday! I'm a September girl, too! Used to make those checkerboard cakes for the kids, many years ago. Hope you enjoyed your special day - and have many more birthdays!!! 76 is the new 66!!!
