At Rest on Wrestle Creek Road

My friend and art student, Bridget Weller, knows that I love to paint old trucks, so she brought me this picture of an old International Dump Truck, which is "resting" on her farm on Wrestle Creek Road.  I also plan to use this painting as a lesson in the watercolor class so she will also paint her truck.  Thanks, Bridget!

The painting is 9" x 12" and is painted on Canson 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper with QoR watercolors from Golden paints.

I've done old trucks/cars a long time ago - and am going to teach an old truck - it's just so much fun painting old rusty items! Good job.

Looks as though you've captured early morning light here, Barb. Another beautiful painting and I confess to wondering who set up the tarp and why! LOL

Hi Sherry - I wondered about the tarp also - certainly "why?" since it is not really protecting anything. It starts at the top of the door and ends at the back of the truck and looks like it is lying over something at the back - the area is in shadow so I cannot make out the details in that area. I left the tarp in because I like the touch of blue.

What a great find. You painted this old dump truck beautifully! I don't think I've ever seen a dump truck painting, come to think of it.
