Vintage Sunset

This is my latest painting, done from a source photo from The Photo Guy Photography, photos by Darren Fisher.  He has graciously allowed me to use it for a painting - and of course, you all know how I love vintage trucks!  His work can be found on Facebook and Fine Art America.  Check him out!  Thanks, Darren!

This painting is 9" x 13" and is painted on 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper in transparent watercolor.

It is wonderful! I love the dramatic sky and I find myself wondering if this is a Jeep of some sort by the front end...?

Gorgeous. Love the greens and oranges together. This is how it looked, here, last night as I drove home while the sun was going down.

Thanks, Sherry. I really painted it for the sky - I needed the practice! Skies are always touchy. I think it may be a jeep truck, if there is such a thing. I don't really know.

Thanks, Leslie! Yes - there is that moment during sunset when the colors are just right and they look so good together. I like to paint purples and oranges together - you can get such strong darks.
