Day 8: 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Day 8 is all about Zentangled inspired art...The composition was laid out lightly in pencil and then the zentangles were put in with an Espresso fine point pen.  The final "icing" on the "cake" was the color added with Prismacolor pencils.  This is greeting card size - 4" x 6" and was created on a Strathmore blank greeting card.

So beautiful, Barb! I am always drawn to trees and I love the way you've done this piece. And oh so whimsical too!

Did you "feel the Zen" while doing this?
Remember to relax, breathe, slow down, enjoy the moment. You sure have the technique down! I have not experimented much with color...I am sure as I go along that will come. What an amazing card this is.
wonderful.

Thanks, Sherry - I think by it's nature, Zentangling is whimsical!

Ginny ...Yes, I feel the "Zen!" This is so much fun! Actually, I went crazy with the color on this one because it is a "menagerie" of shapes and color! It is a very poor example of composition but I did try to balance the colors! (smile)
