Day 7: 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Day 7 brought out the oil paints again...this is a miniature oil painting 3" x 3" and it is painted on a stretched canvas given me by my friend Patty Magoto.  She also gave me the small easel on which it is displayed.  This is taken from a photograph by Janet Roberts, a Watercolor Workshop member and friend who lives in Tenerife in the Canary Islands.  Her flower photos are wonderful.

Well, only 23 days to go! Whew!

Such a pretty color and one that reminds me of the tropics!

What a great idea (and beautiful little gem!)
I used to have some of those tiny canvases with their own little easels. I think I gave them all away. Darn.
Anyway this is sweet. I am going to work en plein air for a few days this week because the weather is SO good. Mostly wc I think but I might consider bringing my acrylics outside too.

Thanks, Sherry! Janet lives in the tropics and grows beautiful flowers at her home.

Ginny - this is my first experience with the small canvas and easel - I have mixed emotions about it - it is a little small for me to work on comfortably with my arthritis, but they do come in handy, I suppose, when you want to give someone an example of your work. I learned that working this small is not my thing.
I envy you being able to work en plein air - you lucky girl...I will think of you!
