Day 5: 30 Paintings in 30 Days: "I-pad Imp!

This is my painting for Day 5.  This is a painting of my 2 years old great nephew, Jaxton, who was enthralled with the i-pad.  I call this " I-Pad Imp!"  The source photo was taken by his father.

The painting is painted on an 8" x 8" canvas panel and is painted in oils.

Oh Barb! This one just makes me smile, inside and out! Except for the hoodie and the i-Pad it has an old master's feel to it with the darkness and the child. How special.

Thanks Ginny, Sherry and Susan! Yes - he has red hair and is a real character...the youngest of 4 children who get everything for him. He is very curious and so cute.
Susan - I think it does have a sort of Rembrandt feel to it. His father took the picture and immediately I thought "I have to paint this one!"

He looks older in the photo also, until you see that his little legs are dwarfed by the giant hoodie he is wearing (probably his older brothers, as is the IPAD.
