Frenzied Tulips

I haven't been posting for a week since I was out of town - so yesterday I did a few small watercolors on postcard watercolor paper.  This is one of them.  The paper is Strathmore, 140 lb. paper.  I enjoyed the trip, but am glad to be back painting!

Very nice,as always, Barb!
I am always so happy to return home after a trip...I suffer from withdrawal symptoms from painting while I am away:-)

Beautiful tulips! How did you manage to do a few paintings in one day? One takes me weeks! I am sooo slow!

These are lovely tulips.
I love the way the sunshine just lights them up!

I am finally catching up on my favorite blogs...yours always! Sorry I have been away. Sinus infection laying me sort of low. Make me SO tired. I especially loved the silverware piece you did! Wow.

I HAVE to hurry up and get well as I am teaching this week and have a dozen other things on my plate!

Christiane - Yes - it is so good to be home ... I also suffer withdrawal from painting while traveling. It is true to say that I am complete when painting!

Vicki - I am happy you like my silver painting. I can honestly say I adore your recent rose paintings (actually I love all your work, but the roses have been absolutely stunning!)

Sherry - I am glad you like the tulips. I can do several small paintings in a day, but they are not the works that I would enter in shows, etc. Those works take me much longer. I do these small loose works to loosen up and relax (they make great cards, also.)

Donna - Thank you so much for your comments and visiting my blog when I have been so lax in commenting on your beautiful paintings. I have been terrible about commenting since Rock got sick, and I have made up my mind that I will do a much better job in the future. (Still keep him in your prayers)

Renate - Thanks for commenting on the tulips - I tried to give the effect of back lighting through the background colors so, although, the background was darker than the tulips, there was still the effect of light shining through...a glow, so to speak.

Ginny...thanks for your loyalty to my blog - you know how much I appreciate your comments and friendship. I hope your sinus infection leaves you quickly so you can enjoy your last few weeks in the northwoods. I would dearly love to attend your zentangle classes - I know they will go well - your works have been fascinating. I greatly enjoy your daily blog - look forward to reading it!
