Ryan - The Computer Wizard

This painting was also done for the Watercolor Workshop June projects.  This 2nd project was to be a portrait in watercolor of a child (or anyone.)  This painting of Ryan was done from a photo I took of him at my laptop computer 3 years ago, when he was 5 years old.  The painting is 12" x 9" and is painted on 140 lb. Arches hot-pressed watercolor paper.  Isn't he adorable?  He still is - just older!

Sherry - He is adorable - and he knows it. He can get most anything when he bats those big beautiful blue eyes. Thank you for your always wonderful comments!

Donna - his hands were difficult to paint - sort of different positions than I usually paint as he was intently using the touch pad. It always amazes me that these young children can adapt so quickly to the eye-hand coordination necessary to do this task.
Love you too - hope all is well with your back. We just found out this week that Rock has cancer of the right vocal cord - so send lots of prayer our way, dear friend!

Renate - I appreciate that you like the clothes - I worked hard on his sweat shirt - I was working on hot-pressed watercolor paper and it was difficult to control the shading the way I wanted.
I am glad you like it!
