Painting 27: "Presenting ..."The All-Stars!"

Last Wednesday I went to Michelle's where a group of us painted Julie's Converse All-Stars tennis shoes. I had to finish it here in my studio because for me it was much more than a 4 hour painting. I finished it last Friday, but since I was out of batteries for my camera, I am just now posting it!

The painting is oil on 8"x10" wrapped canvas.

This is wonderful! I have a soft spot for old tennis shoes anyway, and you've portrayed this pair so lovingly, with so much character. WEll done!

Who knew an old pair of gym shoes could look so beautiful? Love that cloth backdrop and the way the shoes are posed. Fabulous work, Barb!

Katherine...I love old tennis shoes and I just love to paint old shoes and boots because they DO have so much character. Thanks for your comments!

Sherry... I am happy that you like my painting of the old tennis shoes - I had a lot of fun deciding how to present them and finally decided to represent a sort-of stage that they can be sitting on. I am so happy you like them.
