"Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year."

I went to Michelle's studio last where we painted this still life she set up.  It was challenging - especially the ball glove, which was a first for me.  This is an oil painting which is painted on 8"x10" wrapped canvas.  Good company, good subject - fun night.

There is such a poignancy to this piece, Barb. I am reminded of little boys, their dads, playing catch, going to games, and little league. You handled this beautifully and the ball itself is masterful!

I just love this.
The colors are so warm.
The painting is inviting.

Sherry - I also think there is a sort of nostalgic quality to this painting and, yes, I also like the way the ball turned out! This reminds me of my brothers and how their baseball "equipment" often was around the house.
