After the Morning Rain

I finished this experimental painting today.  This is my stylized version of a peony after a morning rain.  It is 9" x 12" and is painted in watercolor on 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper

This is just luscious Barb! I love peonies, but don't like to paint them, too many petals. I've done two of the peony paintings and neither looks as good as this one!

I've just finished a piece called raindrops on roses but I wish I could have achieved the raindrops as well as yours - though mine is in acrylic. Wonderful washes and tones.
