Several weeks ago I was planning to paint in plein air after the Ohio Plein Air Society's annual meeting in Columbus. Because it was so windy, I stayed in the car and did two drawings on canvas to paint later in the studio. Today I started one of them. Obviously it is a work in progress, but this is my creation for the day. :) The painting is 9" x 12" and is on a canvas panel.

Oh this is looking so marvelous, Barb! I can't wait to see it finished! It is encouraging for me to see that you do draw before you add paint. I do as well, though my drawing skills aren't where I'd like them to be, alas...
I have been to German Village many times! Where in Ohio do you live? I also lived for one year in Wapakoneta! Now I'm in Cincinnati area. The painting is looking great!
