Tulips on YUPO Paper

I did this painting today and it was the lesson for tonight's class at Riverside Art's Center.  It is a watercolor painted on YUPO paper.  My students had never painted on YUPO paper before so this was a new experience for all of them.  They did very well and I think they enjoyed the class.  It is 7" x 5".

Beautiful as always! I've just prepped a canvas with white gesso to try this out, Barb. Hope I can find some success with it. It would be much easier if I found success with anything first! LOLOL

I keep seeing this word 'yupo' but have never seen it here in the UK. Your painting has a bright, almost stained glass appearance - so delightful!

Beautiful! I have tried to paint tulips using a similar palette and find it difficult to get the balance right, you have more than succeeded where I failed!

For Gillian, Yupo "paper" is now available from the SAA, you will find it in the mixed media paper and pads section.

Gillian - Ruth has a hint for you in where to get the YUPO... you would love painting on it - it is so freeing.
