Forest Dweller

I finished this painting Thursday  evening. This is the third painting in my collaboration with my friend, Pamela Baker, who is the photographer. Thank you, Pamela, for sharing your beautiful photograph with me.     This painting is painted on Fabriano Artistico 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper and is entirely transparent watercolor. The painting is 16" x 22".

While this entire painting is a delight, I have to say my fav part is the windshield! Those leafy areas of light are just priceless!

Oh my gosh, Barb! This is amazing and one of my favorite subjects and one of the first types of painting I ever saw you do. I am awed and just wish I could paint like this!

Thanks, Sherry...as you are aware- it is my favorite subject to paint! I am addicted to painting vintage trucks and fortunately there are a lot of them out there hiding in woods and out of the way places!

Thanks, Gillian - I concentrated on the textures in this one...always a challenge.
