Gifts for the Gods

This, today's project,  is a painting using the "triangular" format - another project from the Mary Todd Beam book, Celebrate  Your Creative Self.  I decided to do some research on Sumerian art - using some of their icons and some of their cuneiform symbols.  This is a mixed media piece in which I used both watercolor and acrylics on watercolor paper.  This piece is 9" x 12".

And this is exactly the type of art I thought of when I saw Celestial Dreams for some reason. This is magnificent, Barb. You are always growing yourself, aren't you? I wish I could do something...anything...with half the success! Exquisite!

Great design and colour palette Barb. Well deserved to create something so unique after all that research.

Joan - when I was in college, I was fascinated with ancient Sumeria and their art when I took ancient art history - Their culture was very advanced for the times. I sort of thought that the cuneiform writings would carry through the triangular theme I was trying to get.
