Tree Peony
This is my decorative version of a tree peony I painted on 1/2 sheet Arches cold-pressed 140 lb. watercolor paper and in which I used mostly Holbein watercolors. This is a watercolor lesson I prepared for an intermediate watercolor painting class I taught at the arts center.

Not sure what makes a painting decorative or fine art but I do see a difference - perhaps less modeling of the shapes and more pure color? Either way, I like this and I imagine the class did, too!
