I did this painting on Tuesday afternoon in plein air in the garden of a good friend, Patty Magoto! It is 8"x 10" and is painted on a canvas panel. Another wonderful afternoon oil painting out in the joy of nature with good friends.

This is so lovely and peaceful, Barb. Just a relaxed vibe with the piece that I so enjoy.

Barb, I really like the three depth layers that you conveyed. Aa the viewer, I have the impression that I am enjoying a quiet sunny afternoon on a patio...a most serene and calming impression. You obviously translated into watercolor the pleasure you had painting in that garden. Very nice!

Christiane...I am happy you think that the 3 layers work on this one.
Yes - it is almost spiritual painting in the garden - listening to the birds singing and having conversation with good friends...wonderful experience. Isn't being an artist GREAT? God has blessed us.
