Dogwood

Well, this is the last painting for my class at the Riverside Art's Center. It is 5"X7" and is painted on hot-pressed 140 lb. Arches w/c paper. This is one I would like to try again in the future - I wasn't too happy with it.

Hi Barbara,
Clearly, you have a passion for watercolor and the natural realm. Your work gives sensitive treatment to the delicacy of the flowers you depict.

You weren't happy with this?? Gosh, you can send it on to me! I love the white flowers and the shadow shapes that give them their delicate shapes.

Kathy...I have an 'obsessive' passion for watercolor...I am an unhappy camper when I can't paint(like when I crushed my humerus and shoulder 2 years ago.) :(
Thank you for your kind comments.

Rhonda...today I removed the little white petal in the upper left - I knew that it bothered me and a good friend pointed out that it was detracting from the focal point - so today I removed the petal and it is so much better. Thank goodness for good friends. I am glad you like this one - I just might send it on to you!
