I did a watercolor workshop for the girlscouts Monday evening. There were 9 of them, 5th graders, and they were all working on their watercolor badges. We did some wet-in-wet backgrounds using the 3 primary colors. This painting was one of my mixtures with salt texture and I decided to make a flower out of it. The girls were amazed at the mixtures you could get by tipping their boards one way and the other.
Watercolor is my passion. After teaching art in the public schools for 40 + years I now have time to create art for myself. I am a watercolorist who sometimes likes to work in mixed media as well. My journey in art began when I was a small child and continues to this day. Barbara Hart Sailor

What a lucky bunch of girl scouts. Wish I'd had that back when I was in scouting ---50 years ago! You sound like such a wonderful teacher and leader.
Sandy,
What I wish is that I could take some classes with you - your yupo, and watercolor batik techniques are awesome.
