Watercolor is my passion. After teaching art in the public schools for 40 + years I now have time to create art for myself. I am a watercolorist who sometimes likes to work in mixed media as well. My journey in art began when I was a small child and continues to this day.

I did two primary wet-in-wet mixtures at the Girl Scout badge workshop - this is the second painting I worked up from the demo background paintings. This is a more traditional approach - tight on top of loose background.
Beautiful! And so like this weather, a bit sunny, a bit warm, a bit cold, perhaps snow flurries, a few birds looking for food and a couple of squirrels chasing each other :) You've captured it all on here. I love it that the girl scouts have a watercolor badge!
Their leader just sent me the pictures she took, so now they are on the blog. They really did very well on their wet-in-wet backgrounds, as you can see in the pictures. Rhonda, you have such a talent for words... Thanks, Barb
