Apple Basket for Watercolor Workshop

i
I finished this apple basket painting last evening. It was painted from a photograph provided by the Watercolor Workshop for the October project where everyone paints from the same photograph. This was painted on 1/4 sheet Arches 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper with mostly Holbein watercolors. Every painting I start I decide I am going to paint it in a loose, watercolorly style and I always end up with a tight, clean, anal watercolor. It's hopeless! I think I will have to give up my dream to be a loose woman! All I can say is that it is not for the effort of trying.

Barb, who cares?!!!! As long as you can do this WONDERFUL painting as you have, WHO CARES? I was a bit daunted in submitting my looser painting when I saw yours, but there is room for anal people as well as "loose women" in this art world! LOL. You are good!

Barb you have a wonderful style and this painting is wonderful. Don't worry about painting tight, just keep painting. I love it!
