Watercolor is my passion. After teaching art in the public schools for 40 + years I now have time to create art for myself. I am a watercolorist who sometimes likes to work in mixed media as well. My journey in art began when I was a small child and continues to this day. Barbara Hart Sailor

Jackson Center High School - A Commission
I recently completed this commissioned painting of Jackson Center High School in Jackson Center, Ohio. The finished painting is 8 1/2 " x 11" and is painted on 140 lb. Fabriano Artistico cold-pressed watercolor paper. This is the 3rd painting commissioned by this patron for her son, who no longer lives in the district. The first was of the Big Four Bridge, and The Spot Restaurant, both in Sidney, Ohio. This is the last year for the high school which will be torn down in 2016 to make way for a new high school. So - this is especially special to her son. This is special to me also because I spent 28 of my 43 years in education teaching art in this school system.

This is just gorgeous, Barb! I love old buildings like this!
So do I, Sherry! It is too bad that the interior and the facilities are so old.
