Last night, fifteen lovely ladies enjoyed painting in acrylics while enjoying a variety of wines! The subject of the paintings was a semi-abstract stylized sun which was painted on 24" x 18" canvases. Everyone had a wonderful time participating in this first-time activity at Riverside Art Center. We hope it is just the first of many Wine and Canvas nights!!! The activity was led by Barb Sailor. All of the artists painted lovely creative paintings. Many thanks to my friend and fellow painter, Misty Steinke, for being the photographer for the evening, as well as painting.

Looks a great and fun night, Barb! Love those suns too. Colorful and almost windswept too. I find myself wondering if the lady with the sunrays curling to the left is left-handed as opposed to her partners in the photograph?
She was the only one to do it that way and I determined she worked from the mirror which had everything backwards...no one else did this! ... very interesting. She was a dancer and teacher for many years, but was very uncomfortable painting. She did a great job, though!
