The painting is 5" x 12" and is painted on 300 lb. Arches cold-pressed watercolor paper. It is originally from a royalty free image from the internet. I have taken so many liberties with it - making many changes, etc., that I think I can pretty much call it my own now - artistic license, you know!!!
Watercolor is my passion. After teaching art in the public schools for 40 + years I now have time to create art for myself. I am a watercolorist who sometimes likes to work in mixed media as well. My journey in art began when I was a small child and continues to this day. Barbara Hart Sailor

Beautiful. I really like this, Barb. I like the old, weathered feeling that emanates from it. It's got real character and I sense a lot of history, and many memories hidden inside. You've captured the soul and spirit of it beautifullly.
June has said it all:-) I love the mystery of a dark doorway...Really well done, Bar!
Wow, Barb! This is beautiful and I love the simple composition. Your palette makes me feel like I'm looking at an Old Master's painting.
