This painting is a study from a photograph on a get-well card which I received this winter. It is one eighth of a sheet of 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper and I used some very old paints that I have had for at least 25 years - amazing they are still good. They are more opaque than what I usually use, but they have some beautiful colors.
I think the tulips are a wonderful way to celebrate Easter and the beautiful colors and flowers of spring.

Truly beautiful work, Barb. I was just looking down into one of the tulips that is growing in my yard and thinking of painting it myself. I couldn't do them the justice you do here.
Yep!
Really springy!
And in this instance, I LIKE the opaqueness of this one!!
You are THE BEST!!
I love you!
Thansk, Sherry. You should do it, Sherry - tulips are so much fun to paint.
Donna - Thank you so much. Love you too!
Every time I see this the glow is brighter and brighter! This is just so good, everything about it is just perfect.
I hope you can heal faster than this soon, I can feel your frustration way over here!
