Watercolor is my passion. After teaching art in the public schools for 40 + years I now have time to create art for myself. I am a watercolorist who sometimes likes to work in mixed media as well. My journey in art began when I was a small child and continues to this day.

Somewhere in Space and Time
This is my latest experiment in painting on YUPO paper. The explorations go on...it is so much fun painting on this paper and it is also difficult and a great challenge. I look forward to working with it in the future.
Yupo paper is a plastic, shiny paper that was designed for the printing industry. The paint lays on the top and blends in unusual, unexpected ways - thus it is hard to control so you sort of let it do its thing. The colors remain very intense since the paint is not sinking into the paper.

Thanks for the bit of info on the Yupo paper, Barb. This is kind of cool looking, rather thinking of desert rock formations!
THANKS FOR THE REPLY. I SO LOVE TO LOOK AT ALL YOUR ARTWORK AND OTHERS. JUST SO RELAXING.
