I decided to do some plein air painting Sunday and painted our front garden. This time of the year we have a multitude of blues, violets and pinks and I wanted to capture some of the feeling of this place. This is not a great painting, but it does sort of look like our garden. This painting is 11" x 8" and is painted on 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper.

GRANNY FROM TAMPA
Barb, I think it is an awesome painting and your house looks amazing too. I think I want to move in!
Hi barb. We are at the north woods cabin now in Lac Du Flambeau. Let me know if you'll be in the area this summer . My en Klein air group paints on Thirs mornings but it ha been so cold here. Frost warnings tonight! I enjoyed your en plain air...wow.
Oops. Sorry for so many misspellings on that comment..I am typing on my iPad at the LDF library this afternoon.
Thanks, Granny!
Sherry - the flowers are not nearly as pretty today as they were on Sunday, when there was that short window of opportunity. Thanks for your comments.
Ginny - I am happy to hear that you are back in the northwoods. We aren't certain when we will come but I'll let you know for sure. I'm not so sure that frost warnings sound so good! Brrrrr!
Hey Barb, I agree with Autumn Leaves, your painting is great and your house is just what I love.. Leave the light on !!!

Thanks, Barbra Joan! The light is on for you anytime! :)
