This is one that I dipped several times and the textured background is very busy. I have also noticed that this technique does change the surface of the paper somewhat - it does react to the watercolor differently. Thanks for the nice comment - that is what I was trying to depict - moody and cool. I notice that you are from the north - one of my favorite places is the north woods of Wisconsin - probably similar to where your are in Minnesota.
