I painted this ATC this evening for the ATC project on the Watercolor Yahoo Group. It is 2 1/2 X 3 1/2 inches and is painted on 140 lb. arches in transparent watercolor. This is my first attemp at an ATC - it certainly is different painting that small!

Green Truck and Old Shed

I have done this old truck and old shed many times - in different compositions and colors. I did this particular composition in shades of grays and blues for a previous class I was teaching. It was posted in a previous post on this blog. I love the old shed and it met its demise this fall during a severe wind storm. Luckily, I have many photographs of it, in various stages of decay. It was located a few miles west of us, sitting out in the middle of a wheat/corn/bean field, depending upon the year and the crop of the year. I have done the truck many times in many colors. It originated from a photo a friend sent me many years ago.

Impressions of Autumn

This is a painting I completed recently for a class I am teaching. It is an exercise in pouring, negative painting and lifting. It is painted on 1/4 sheet of Arches 140 pound watercolor paper. It was not difficult, but took lots of patience and time. :)

Thanksgiving elf!

This is a picture of my grandson Ryan licking the whipped cream from the beaters on Thanksgiving morning after whipping the cream for the pumpkin pie. He was helping Aunt Peggy and was also wearing the apron she brought for him. His sister Rachel received one, too! Rachel had her tonsils removed on the Monday before Thanksgiving, so she wasn't allowed to come to Grandma's for dinner.
